Local Talent – Lauren Luna

 

I’m logged on to Facebook and I stumbled on a picture of  a customized Ohio State Buckeye Air Force One. So naturally, I follow the link to view all the creative customized creations by artist Lauren Luna and I must say “I was blown away!” Without further ado; Ladies and Gentleman I present Lauren Luna!

 

 

Lauren Luna is a nationally known professional artist, born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  Lauren’s latest ventures include, Custom Kicks, a business that allows customers to custom-design their own footwear. While working for Custom Kicks, Lauren established a large and diverse fan base that embraced her gift of art and fashion. 

 

Lauren’s artwork consist of a blend of urban realism, abstract expression, and social commentary which has established her as one of the most-talented artist of our generation. Her artwork was featured in major galleries including: the Cinque Gallery in New York, New York,  Ball State University School of Art Gallery, Munice, Indiana and the Morpho Gallery in Chicago, Illinois. 

Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a focus on painting from Kent State University. She was awarded her Masters degree in Special Education from Manhattan College and is currently working on her Masters of Fine Arts in non -figurative studies at the Academy of Art University. Currently, Lauren is an affiliated member of the Ohio Art league and teaches Basic Drawing at Columbus State Community College.
